they're back...

I wouldn't normally blog since I'm on hiatus, but Kaliber10000 is back!!! Woohoo!! It's been over 10 months!!! For those of you who don't know, k10k is hands down the greatest design portal of all time. Go check it out in all of it's pixelated glory!!!

Couple of sites I discovered while away from here:

sixshades: Christian designer with a minimal design based on a polaroid photo motif. Funky. I particularily liked the current "My Thoughts" section. I love that song, and the photographs certainly match the feel.

Jacqueline is a Christian who I found through my counter's referral logs. Her site's an interesting read.

Wrote. "Yesterday's News, Today." Interesting (not to mention refreshingly original) concept for a blog: entries are old newspaper articles that seem provincial and even quaint in their age. Lovely, clean design to boot.

patrick has a new splash screen up for the upcoming third version of introversion.

So I ran Ad-Aware for the first time in months, and find 187 spyware components on my computer, 186 of which were embedded in my registry. Great.

Incidentally, if all goes to plan, there WILL be something special here come May 1st, but the real bang will be on May 2nd, my birthday.

I am not blogging. You are not seeing this entry.

Have you ever had an intelligent, fascinating, even magnetic person in your life where, no matter how eloquent or at ease or verbose you may be with people in general, you always end up tense, tongue-tied, and even rude at times when you try to engage her in conversation? Where your jokes always seem to fall flat, your opinions are never clearly expressed, and your topics for conversation seem juvenile? And in general, you always end up sounding like a bumbling idiot, a self-obsessed Philistine, the token Insensitive Jerk® in a half-dozen cheesy Hollywood teen flicks? Because there's someone like that in my life, and I'm clueless about what to do. Maybe I'm too harsh on myself. *sigh* I dunno. It's late. I'm tired. I have to get up early.

Incidentally—and I feel weird mentioning this after all that I've just written—my birthday is in less than a month, so I figured I'd follow a trend and post my Amazon.com Wish List.

Jennie redesigned her blog. Simple is definitely "in".

I've always heard of Born Magazine, but it's only recently that I've realized the sheer brilliance of the site.

After the demise of his site along with the f2s free hosting fiasco, Tod is finally back. Nice.

3,304 miles between New York and San Francisco. 3,304 35mm photographs. Fascinating.
