My Thoughts Exactly

Lord, this bosom's ardent feeling
Vainly would my lips express.
Low before Thy footstool kneeling,
Deign Thy suppliant's prayer to bless:
Let Thy grace, my soul's chief treasure,
Love's pure flame within me raise;
And, since words can never measure,
Let my life show forth Thy praise.

"Lord With Glowing Heart I'd Praise Thee" - Francis Scott Key

Wow. I'd been thinking those exact thoughts all week, and the Francis Scott Key said it better than I ever could.

In personal news, for those of you who keep track of these sorts of things, I am now officially a Computer Science major.

Autumn Saturday

The wind whispers through trees aflame with reds and auburns, smelling of winter. The sun sits low in a cloudless blue sky, light and warmth to the few bundled souls braving the morning chill.

This campus is beautiful on November weekends, and I've forgotten my camera.

Operation Hero Miles

I dunno how many of you all have frequent flyer miles lying around, but if you do, why not donate them to American soldiers so that they can see their families while on leave? While the military provides transportation back to the United States, soldiers still have to pay high "last minute" fares for domestic flights to their hometowns. This includes flights home for emergencies such as family births, deaths, and illnesses. Regardless of your position on the war in Iraq, this seems like a worthwhile way to give back to the men and women who serve in the US military.

On a somewhat related note, you really ought to read 37Signal's Signal vs. Noise, since I seem to keep stealing links from them.

'Goonies director developing sequel'. This just made my day!

Dancing Machine

There is (thankfully) no video footage of me breakdancing or dancing online. This is not a subtle hint, so no Googling, Nathan. Such footage may be in existence if you attended the 2000 Key Club Convention in Long Beach and happened to have a camcorder—in which case, I would like you to leave your home address in the comments so that I can burn the tape.

However, if such footage does not exist, and you're still burning to know how I gyrate on the dance floor, Steve Ballmer does a fairly good approximation in this iPod commercial spoof at macboy. To really get the full beauty of the spoof, you should first check out video footage of Ballmer pumping up the crowd at a Microsoft event.
