"UC Davis Stuns Stanford For Improbabe 20-17 Win"
Wow. This is one of the biggest football victories in school history—if not the biggest. For those of you not familiar with college football, UCD is transitioning from Division II to Division I-AA. Stanford, as a Division I-A team, is supposed to be bigger, faster, and stronger. Clearly, not so.
Unfortunately, I wasn't at the game, which is tragic since I was offered discounted tickets as a GSM alum. I didn't even think to take them up on the offer—partially, I admit, because I figured we'd be crushed. As I listened to the game on KDVS, though, it quickly became evident that the Aggies were the better team on the field.
I would have loved to have been there and have that moment etched in my memory. Instead, I have the chat log I had with John as we both listened to the game.
First, here's our conversation after quarterback Jonny Grant found receiver Blaise Smith for the go-ahead touchdown with 8 seconds left on the clock.

My delayed reaction to John's exuberance was due to me jumping around the house, whooping at the top of my lungs.
And, here's our conversation after our terrific defense knocked down a last desperation pass by Stanford quarterback T.C. Ostrander, sealing the victory for the Aggies.

"i54uojpj5w4'y]-9u935u]-i\qy0359." Couldn't have said it better myself.

My brother Paul who just started at UCDavis dragged me along to this game and boy was I glad I went. It was the best football game I have ever watched in person. UCDavis seemed to be a much less refined team but through perseverance they won in the last ten seconds. It was a pretty proud moment considering we were in the Stanford seating section and we were getting heckled by their fans. I was surprised by how many UCDavis supporters were there though.
