If Jakob Nielsen had an eleventh best practice for weblog usability, it would be "Never post about why you haven't been posting."
So you'll all see this coming, but I still feel obligated to say it—I've been insanely busy, so it's hard to update. But there are other factors.
One being, my computer is in one house, while I live and sleep in another. Without DSL. Or a desk. Yeah, working on that.
And there's the fact that I've got about a gajillion (ok, three) side projects going right now (on top of a full-time job), so making regular posts is a struggle, not to mention this site's long-overdue and badly-needed redesign. As some of you know, I have started the gears turning on that.
There's one biggish post I've been meaning to get out about a site I launched about a month ago, so that's what y'all will hopefully be seeing shortly. Yes, I said "y'all." I'm turning Texan—no joke, I say "howdy" now. Blame sar. Never mind that we haven't communicated in a while and she's occupied with her fiance—she's Texan, so it has to be her fault. :P
Other than that, I've been listening to an abnormal amount of Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys. Not sure why. I'm currently digging Alicia's duet cover of "Wild Horses" with Adam Levine.
And I've been spending much time reflecting on deep, deep matters. Like, when pre-werewolf Michael Jackson declares "I'm not like other guys" to his sweetheart in the music video for "Thriller"—isn't that the biggest understatement ever?
Seriously, though, most of the busy-ness is thanks to God's incredible goodness to me over the past couple months. I'm tremendously blessed and very, very humbled. Praise be to God.

i had no idea it was MJ who was hindering you from updating. it all makes sense now ;)
i'll have to give alicia keys' cover of 'wild horses' ... i'm quite fond of the cover performed by The Sundays.
